New Look Coming:  Retro-Sophisticate Collection 2013

My inspiration started about a year ago when I encountered the art work of Sheep Jones.  Her use of color and shape intrigued me in a way that I still do not understand.  But stimulated some ideas.  It reminded me of the home front around the time of World War II when our country was set in the midst of a terrible economic depression followed by World War II.   For fashion historians it was a time of great transition in the fashion world.  As in World War I, France was no longer the capital of high fashion; the United States took over this role.  It introduced the use of synthetics.  My muse is the elegant Loretta Young.  Her sophisticated style during the forties.  Merging the work of Sheep Jones, my must Loretta Young, research of the forties, up do's and braided buns, all come together after several agonizing months, I present my Winter 2013 collection.  Welcome.

My musical inspiration is from Glass Candy., Beautiful Object on the EP Warm  In the Winter.  Come to think of it, it was pretty warm here in Maryland during the Winter of 2012.  I'M STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION BUT I'M COMING AS THEY SAY....LOLt.
